Pasty butt

My little 2 week old silkie has pasty butt. Can I soak her bum in warm water?

Yes, you can soak it in warm water and gently scrub it off.
Make sure you dry her off when you get done, preferably with a blow dryer.

I would soak my babies tushies with warm water. It's also been suggested to put a little Vaseline around the vent opening to keep the fluff back. Like stated above just make sure they are dry after washing.
