My chicks continue to get pasty butt what should I do? Is this normal as chicks? Is there a solution?

From what I’ve read, the most common reasons for it are temperature and hydration, depending on age.
It can be caused by disease as well, but far less likely.

How old are your chicks?
What temperature are you keeping them?
Is there water and feed placed at the correct distance from their heat source?
Are you feeding chick feed only?
If adding treats, (not suggested), are you giving chick grit as well?

Some people offer cold water to their chicks as soon as they get them, instead of warming it a tad, which can cause it.
But if this is a continuous thing for you, it’s likely something else. Temperature is my guess.

I have always given mine red pepper flakes in with their food

Thank you. I have a heat lamp from the starter kit. Not sure of the temp. Water is on opposite side of lamp.

Thanks Bunches. Have 4 chicks from TSC y-day, one not looking good. Better since sugar water, will pull heat lamp out for a bit. ONLY 50 g Trough so closer to them than 100g, use previously.
