Probably not DNS then, though I'm having difficulty with what else it could possibly be. There's one way to be sure and that's to have oebantam target a specific DNS that we know is working and see if that changes. I have to admit that I have no idea how to do that in IE 8. I don't use IE for anything but cross-browser testing.

Another option is to try a different browser and see if that makes a difference. What that would tell us is if the problem is "on the wire" as such or browser-specific.
