Hello All...so our chickens beaks are a bit pointy and we heard you can put cinder blocks in there for them to peck at to dull them...we have a few patio pavers from menards and were wondering if those are safe for them to use. We weren't sure if there are dyes or what have you in them... Thanks all!

I think that chicken beaks are always pointy, easier to spear yummy worms with.

The pavers should be fine. I see my birds using tree sections, bricks, rocks, pretty much whatever. Even if they had the colored cement they'd be okay, as the birds aren't ingesting the material.

Plus, if you put the pavers out in your run, bugs and worms will accumulate under them. Go out once a week or so and flip them over and call your flock for a tasty treat for them and entertainment for you!
