Jason stopped, his whole body wracked with mind numbing pain. "like any of this matters, it's not like I'll be around much longer...." he thought , deeply sad.

Kate, heart and spirits heavy, trudged home. She never wanted to go back... Why did kids have to be so freakin' mean?! Tears welled up in her eyes.

Jason gasped as he hugged his ribs. "crap, I'm right in font of the school, what if someone sees!" he thought between the bursts of pain. It felt like he had fire in his veins.

Kate stopped at the buss stop. Tears streamed down her cheeks like tiny waterfalls.

The pain slowly died, leaving Jason huddled on the ground shivering, white as paper with his dark hair plastered to his haggard face.
