Do you want to be able to enter your checking account number and routing number to get your chicks?

It only costs me an extra $10.00 per month. You would be able to enter your checking account number and it would the money directly from your bank account. I am wondering if this is something I should pursue. What are your thoughts?

I don't think many would use it, I know I wouldn't. Its safer and easier to use my CC.

People are and (should be) leary of passing out those numbers. Not meaning to your not trustworthy or anything like that. Just saying its not a good idea, all it takes is one bad employee (even the best buisnesses run into them) or some missplaced or stolen papers getting into the wrong hands.

People have recourse if their CC # is stolen, but bank #s are a whole different story.

I think that is the answer I have been getting from everyone.

It is actually automated just like the credit cards on my website. No one has any access to the credit card information after you put it in on the website. It is totally secure.

Right now it is not set up that way but I have had a few customers ask for it and wanted to hear others opinions.

The only cc I ever use to buy on the internet or over the phone is one I have that the number changes every month. Still not a perfect system, but better than nothing.

I prefer to pay for everything with Paypal (credit cards or Paypal Buyer Credit). It is so easy & convenient. Hey Tyler, how much for 10 Splash Cochin bantam chicks plus shipping to MD 21672? PM me, thanks.

I think most people have a credit card/check card that is linked to their checking account and they can use it with paypal....I wouldn't pay for chicks with my bank account number....JMO

I would trust that it would be as secure as a cc but I probably would continue to use my cc. I have the number memorized so its just easier for me to enter that info than to have to look up my BSB and Account numbers. I know that as the merchant you have to pay a fee to charge a cc. Would they also charge a fee (based on the amount) if you used the check payment system? In other words, would it be $10 per month PLUS a percent of the amount or a flat $10 no matter how much you collected this way?

I know there are people who either don't have a cc or a leery of using it online (although if leery of using it online, they probably would be just as leery to use the check payment online).

Its a pity you can't offer it as an additional option without it costing you....

Well I can offer it as an additional option and it only costs another $10.00 per month. It is as secure as a cc. I never have any access to credit card number nor would I ever have access to bank account numbers if I did this. Credit cards are about 3 percent fee. Checking account transactions are about 2 percent plus 10 per month.
