DESCLAMER: BYC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SWAP. BYC is not responsible for egg sent, received or not received. Please do not pm the mod about your eggs. PM me. If you do not receive your egg I can not make them send them but will make sure they do not play anymore. Please remember the HATCHING EGG AND PAYPAL CHAIN and shipping eggs are a gamble.

This is a place for swapping HATCHING EGGS however if you do not have any hatching eggs to offer you may offer a PAYPAL deposit in lieu of hatching eggs. EGGS, PAYPAL and CHICKS. Any type of eggs are allowed as long as the 1st offer is 6 pure chicken or 6 duck or 8 Guinea eggs 4 for turkey 3 for goose 12 for quail.

SWAP RULES - This list is subject to change so please check back periodically.
YOU MUST BE 19 OR OVER TO PLAY

EGGS MUST BE PUREBRED! 1st Offer other offers can be for mixed.

If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations.

Minimum of eggs see above for breed. If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too.
Please make you PayPal offer at least $15 the more you offer the faster it will get claimed and get you off the chain. No one likes to hold things up. Remember those sending eggs have to pay for shipping.
Please post a pic if you have one it will help your eggs move.

To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return.

When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements.

The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.

Please review the rules there has been a request to allow the offering of chicks. We will see how it goes. I have done this on occasion being out of eggs have sent chicks instead.

offering chicks seems a bit insane in terms of shipping. ther eis NO WAY shipping chicks would be 15 and still get lvie chicks, the box is more then that isn't it?

Well aside from you just calling the person who made the request insane, shipping chicks is not that expensive. I just shipped 7 serama chicks express mail for 17.55 and the box was 2.50. I would have used priority mail if it were "normal" chicks not serama and the cost would have been 7.95 for shipping.

It seem like it may add another level of complexity...I sort of think receiving dead chicks is a lot different from receiving cracked or damaged eggs...and then what if the chicks die within 48 hrs? Is the sender responsible for replacing? What if they are not in good shape? I just can see this opening up the possibility for a whole litany of potential issues. imho. Not to be a negative Nellie or anything

and yes I admit, I AM INSANE!! I just can't eat these eggs, and I know I won't have enough room for all these georgeous chicks come spring . . . . and of course I get to keep the best ones for myself!

I was just thinking of offering for pick up only (since I'm not NPIP) as an option since my birds aren't laying right now, but I still want to play.

CPL, where do you get boxes for only $2.50??

Hmmm, all very good points I didn't think about.

Replacing chicks due to irresponsible postal workers would not be fair to others. It would be too expensive replace them and I for one would not offer them if there was a rule to replace them if they didn't make it. I like the idea of offering chicks. I don' t see a problem with it. I for one have offered chicks before and sent them priority mail an d they did just fine.

Chick shipping boxes are cheap and I buy them for $2.50 ea myself. If you don't like the idea of the chicks you don't have to offer them or except them. Simple as that.

Now that I think about it, it probably makes sense as long as chicks aren't the primary offer, as stated in the rule. As long as the taker has the option of eggs and chooses chicks instead, the risk is on them.
