Thanks! There is a guy near here that teaches how to make white oak baskets...all the way down to splitting the wood yourself. it is so cool to go from a tree to a finished functional and STRONG basket. this one is similar to the one I gather my eggs with every day.

Yeah, white oak is light and DURABLE. Is it as flexible as I've heard when it's green?
