PC fan hooking PC fan to incubator

I am building a home made incubator . I have a PC fan an a 12 volt charger. How do I know what goes to what the fan wires are red aand black and the charger ones are both black but there is a fat white dotted line on one of them.

hmm, i would assume that the wire with the dotted line is probably ground... but im not sure on that.

Best bet would be to try connecting the wires and see if it works, if not try reversing the connection.

I had a similar problem with my first incubator, you just have to figure out what works and what doesn't.

Yep. That is exactly how I had to do mine also. Just hook the wires up and plug in to see if it turns on. If it does, just unplug and tape or wire nut your ends (or whatever your going to do with them) and your set. If it doesn't run, then unplug and hook the wires up the opposite way.
