I was just wondering how you do this. I can not find a fan that I can get an adapter for. I have a Little Giant Still Air Incubator. I have seen people talking about this before. How do you take a computer fan and hook it up to the incubator.

Do you want to connect the fan to the top of the bator? If so you'll need some bolts, washers, and nuts. If you just want to have the comp fan inside and/or just asking about how to power it, then as the above posted stated, you'll just have to find an old cell phone charger or similar small volt/amp plug adaptor that you don't want or use and some electrical tape, then just cut and splice the power adaptor to your comp fan.

This is a homemade incubator/hatcher I made with the original fan I put in. I have changed the fan location since this picture was taken but it still works the same.

you can get a 12volt direct current power supply from any 2nd hand thrift store. the fan can come from any old computer. i have two of the lg's and the hold temps better than my hovabator. just make sure the fan blows up toward the top of the bator.

You can find fans and the power supply in a junk computer sitting around your house or anywhere else. To control the fan speed, you could use a "dimmer" switch from you local hardware store. Just be careful with the power supply and not get it wet or set it on paper.

I just looked at my hovabartor and it seems the fan on it, is directly hooked up to the power cord. you might go to a local electronics shop and ask for a fan that works off 110 volt. Then splice it in to your power supply.

Any other questions about using a pc fan, feel free to message me.
