I am a new chicken keeper. I transferred the chicks to the outdoor coop a week ago. Prior to transferring them, I put down an inch and a half of wood shavings as well as some straw on top of that. The chicks have been in the coop for a week. I would like to try the deep litter method in the coop and would like to use pdz to help eliminate any odor build up. I am confused as to how to incorporate pdz in the coop. Do I have to first remove all the bedding that has already been put down or can I apply the pdz OVER the bedding already in the coop?

I use it in my dropping boards, and in my horse stalls. I would think that if you sprinkle it on top of your bedding and give it a mix, it should work just as well.

x2 Just sprinkle it all around. Just enough to see it. Let your birds earn their keep, other than laying eggs, and mix it up for you. PDZ is great.
