I've been told these are both pea combs and both buff brahma bantam chicks. These babies are 4 weeks old now. 3 of my first 4 chicks have a single comb, and the 4th has a rose comb. Pea combs are new for me.

These are both pea combs, correct? And both buff brahma bantams? Are pea combs harder to tell gender, does it take longer to tell?

These pictures are from today. One of each chick's comb and the 2 of them side by side in my lap.

Thank you!

Are you able to take photos from sides and front?

What i can see do look like buff brahma but not enough there to tell for sure. Thank you and good luck

Eta: pea combs for all my boys popped up nicely before the girls did. But Bahamas are slower to mature and until one crows early can be harder to tell

I hope these help some. They're squirmy.

Note- the comb pictures are the same
Those are just the combs that go with each bird.

Yeah, they're only 4 weeks, but those combs are so "in the down" still that it makes them difficult for me to really see.
