That's right! Willoughby especially is hard to stop. This'll be the first time I set chicken eggs under her though. Hopefully she treats them like her own AND she doesn't break them! She's a scovie. Hard to stop them! The Silkies of the waterfowl world!
That's the big thing, not breaking them. Duck and scovie eggs have much thicker shells! That's right! Willoughby especially is hard to stop. This'll be the first time I set chicken eggs under her though. Hopefully she treats them like her own AND she doesn't break them!
I plan to give her very fluffy nesting material and hope for the best. hahaThat's the big thing, not breaking them. Duck and scovie eggs have much thicker shells!

Thanks. It's very sad, especially losing Seana. Snowflake escaped too, but I found her blissfully foraging on the complete opposite side of the yard. How completely horrible! I am so sorry that you lost your beautiful girls.
No doubt, Snowflake and Ladybug will be traumatized, but thank goodness they were spared! I hope that wretched fox doesn't bother them again.
Thank youSnowflake is one lucky girl. And, even though Ladybug will be traumatized, at least she will have Snowflake to help her through it.
Best wishes with your sweet survivors!
