So I'm home with my sick 3 year old today and the husband is off work so I decided to clean the coop. When all was said and done and the flock was scratching around in the new straw I got very proud of my home life and our recycled coop/run and our very very happy chickens.
My son loves to harvest the eggs:
Our Great Pyramutt, Dallas (His mama got out and we're not sure who daddy is)
The coop (Still a work in progress. We're in the process of stuccoing it to match the house - the framing is recycled scaffold, the roof is an old garage door, and all the fence is recycled too)
It ain't pretty but it keeps the hawks out!
Inside the coop... look at my handsome roo!
Nest Boxes... my idea!!!
...and my husband is now in the kitchen baking cookies! (See my son sneaking into the candy up on the fridge???)
