I planted a peach tree years ago. Obviously I'm a fruit tree newbie because I just sat back and let it do its thing and hoped the deer didn't kill it. Never knew there was more to it than that. Well now I have a peach tree that is absolutely overloaded with fruit. Like the entire tree is going to snap overloaded.

I don't want to lose the tree obviously. Would it hurt the tree to just go out and mass pluck the fruit? I mean, the tree will die if I don't so....lesser of two evils?

Defiantly thin this will help with weight management as well as larger fruit. And i noticed you mentioned "newbie" don't forget to prune. Peaches are awesome and sounds like a good problem to have

Don't prune branches when the tree is not dormant. Just pick off the smaller or damaged fruits so you will have less weight and larger remaining peaches.

im planting a dwarf belle of georgia soon from the arbor day foundation this is how i plan to support the branches until its stronger
