Peachick behaviors

I have my two baby peachicks, when my dog comes over to look in on them in my brooder my oldest chick will stick its tail feathers up.
I was wondering do both male and female peafowl do this? Thank you

All peas will display for various reasons. Chicks will display to make themselves look bigger to ward off possible predators.
