My peachick hatched (I had to help it) and it can't stand up. I think it may have a "crooked neck(?)" although I really don't know what that is, just guessing here.
Will that resolve itself with a little physical therapy or do I need to cull it?

Well, she is doing a little better. I have her on litter and she is able to hobble a little. Sitting up some instead of laying on her side.
Keep your fingers crossed.

yeah, she is probably still wobbly. They often are not as quick as baby chicks. If you use some grippy non slip fabric, kind they use for drawer liners etc. that might give her a little more traction.

I did try that but she would not sit or stand up with that. I know it sounds odd, but I propped her up in a glass and stuffed paper towels around her so that her neck would strengthen. She kept getting out, but then I nestled her in the pine shavings and she can sit up in that.
Now she is up and walking a little, but really wobbly. One wing droops more than the other so I think it is just a little weak. I have managed to get her to eat and drink some too.
She is so sweet, I sure hope she makes it.

I read your post about the peachick. We have 3 peachicks they started hatching monday. The first one right away started moving the second it took a while for him to get it, the third one is still wobbly but i know it will be fine. We have one that is still hatching from yesterday. I hope yours will be fine too.

Thanks everyone, It sure helps knowing there are people who are willing to help and share knowledge.
The glass is kind of funny, but I know it helped. She is going to make it, I really think so. Still a little droopy on one wing, but she was walking much better.
Those chicks that are the most complicated just tug at your heartstrings!
