Has anyone seen something like this before?

This guy hatched few days ago with this problem, i wasn't putting so much hope on him but now he seems doing fine so i thought i could do something for his eye?
He can't close it at all, and i think he can't see with this eye.

I had a chick last year like this but she did not hatch out like that she was a few days old before it happened, i caught another chick pecking her eye, had to seperate her cause the other chicks started in on her once their was a speck of blood.

Bless your pea heart you have run the gauntlet of pea problems

Things are getting much better now, at least my chicks aren't dying anymore

If its swollen or looks sore, you might try soaking a cotton pad in warm salt water and holding it on its eye until it gets cold a couple of times a day. I've never had one that looked like that.

i've seen similar on a few of mine and have noticed eyes that don't 'look quite right' in pictures of other people's chicks ... i think it's either an incubation or hatching issue (i tend to interfere too much) .... but i've never seen one that wouldn't fully close....most outgrow the look --- that being said, i do have a hen who to this day has a 'lazy eye'

if it were mine, i'd be applying a triple-antibiotioc ointment or an eye salve from a vet to keep it moist and hope for the best..

Thank you both, i also thought its an incubation issue, now his eye is fully closed, i will visit my vet again to see if he can do anything for him, thanks again.
