I hatched 40+ peachicks this year so far all healthy but the last three one last week but I had 4 other chicks hatch normal last week before this one and two this week only other egg set didn't hatch this week they can't straighten there neck all three pipped but I had to help out of there shells. The chicks are from two different pens and there are yearling hens in each and the one chick is from a yearling hen I know this because I have a yearling IB SP hen in my pen with a BS male and 2 BS hens and this chick is IB so it has to be from the yearling hen in pen. the only thing that I noticed different is these eggs didn't pip until day number 28 the rest all were hatched by then
I have not changed breeders feed or water the only thing extra they have gotten is extra stuff from garden. The incubator temperature is fine I have two seperate termometers to make sure themperature stays same incase one goes bad.
The only thing different is the amount of eggs in incubator I am about done hatching for year and there are less eggs in my incubator every week. And I use a seperate hatcher and disinfect it every week.
I have the two that hatched this week in little boxes that I made so they have to stand and hold there neck semi straight also been giving them vitamin supplement by drops down there throat.
Any one know what causes this or did I possible get a bad batch of feed? And is there any thing else I can do for the chicks? Want to give them a chance before I cull.
I have final 8 eggs in incubator to hatch in the next two weeks.

It's called star gazing,,,get some vitamin E capsules and B complex vitamins,,cut the capsules open to suck out the vitamin E,(it's very sticky),grind up a B complex vitamin supplement pill,,give them the vitamin E first,,then grind the B complex pill up into a fine powder, mix with a little water and give it a dose. Do this twice a day,,and in most cases it will be fine in 2-3 days,,you may need to help dip it's beak into water those few days tho,,and if you don't have a syringe like this one to give oral medicine to peachicks with,so it DON'T go down the throat,,I advise you to get several,,and P
M me if you wanna know what they really are used for,and where to find them,,
