Peachick male or female?

Hi, I recently got a baby peacock or peachick and am wondering if its a boy or a girl or if there's anyway to tell at this age? He/she is just finishing losing his down and getting his bird feathers. He's also getting head-crest feathers on his head which I though might mean that he's a male but I couldn't be sure. I think it's a black shouldered or a purple shouldered but I'm not very skilled as far as determining breeds.Iit's a yellowish-whitish color with brownish wing feather. Thanks for any help!

Boys and girls both get crest feathers.

That is an India Blue Blackshoulder peachick. Could you get more pictures of the wing and back region? That would help sex it. I think it may be a peahen, not sure from that picture.

I think its a male. My young peahens do not have any black yet... What kind of waterfowl are in the background? Both them and the peachick are adorable!
