And here I was wondering why I had never seen pea eggs that color before!
OMG-And I probably came across like a total moron!

Don't feel bad, I thought she was talking about peafowl eggs, too, until I saw that color. Blue peafowl eggs - what?!? Then I realized they were from a BYC member named Peachick! Also, whenever (the BYC member) Peachick posts, I always think it is someone posting about peafowl... every time. Those of us with peas just tend to think that way, I believe!

I knew u had peafowl..lol, at least both of us weren't on the same page..u crack me up

And hate to say.. But even if they aren't peafowl, 250.00 for 6 egg auction..hehehhee
Iam so glad she sent me extra eggs too..whoop whoop

Oh and the other bator, is another byc member her eggs are very blue too

So how much for peafowl, and what do u do with them, are they nice? Mean? What are they like?

That's one of the reasons why I thought they were peafowl eggs ( the bird not the BYC member!) They can run on the pricey side.
I did have mine running free range and will do so again after the jack@ss of a neighbor I have finishes building his privacy fence. He apparently got ticked off about my birds because one of them crapped on his head while perched in his tree!

Peas are really cool and funny, too. I compare them to most super models-lots of looks but dumb as dirt. I have heard of aggressive peas but have never seen one personally. I think it probably has something to do with your interaction with them from day one. Mine are not old enough yet to start the mating calls but I am certainly looking forward to it. Especially if it annoys my neighbor!

Hey I thought the same thing, I wondered why the peachick eggs looked the same size as the chicken eggs. Duh? That certainly proves none of us were stupid we were uninformed.

Well, I do have to say, peafowl poop is some of the worst poop in the world, and if I got pooped on the head with it, LOL, I would be pretty upset too! That's so funny and disgusting at the same time! ICK.

LOL! I had a guy that was supposed to come out here last year to get my birds NPIP cert. I mentioned that I had peas and he asked if I had got them about the same time as my chickens. I told him yes and since that was the case, he wasn't going to test them. Just grandfather them in. All that to avoid the possibility of getting pooed on by a pea!

Nasty stuff!
