I am looking into a peacock as a guard animal.... How would that work? I have a small flock of chickens and a few rabbits, the main predator is a fox (a very specific individual which I have identified and shot)

Here is the best guard :

interesting. wouldn't a fox eat a peacock? or stray dogs, etc.?

Dude, I'm a teenager with no money. I don't have money for a great pyrenees.

The humane society has dogs come through all the time, mow a couple of lawns for the adoption fee. Another good place to look is at rescue pages on FB. I adopted a great dog years ago, a finished champion Norwegian Elkhound who had won everything he could and they had no need of him anymore. He was a really nice dog and did not cost me anything other than a trip to go get him.
