At my farm, we have a male Indian Blue Peacock and it is almost mating season. We have no other peafowl, but we have 9 hens and 1 rooster (though he isn't of age yet). The peacock has been attempting to mate with my polish, Maple. What should I do, separate them, or have peacock-chicken babies?

separate. he will hurt your hens, not good!
and they will mate but they wont make a hybrid.

i dont think it 'works' from peacock to hen

Thanks. Should i separate them just for mating season or all the time?

genetically speaking, it is possible. but its considerably less likely to produce viable offspring. I was thinking on trying it out, maybe finding a large roo and a handful of hens and see what hatches if anything. unfortunately it will have to wait, movin soon.

My male peacock ben trying mate with my road island red.I saw him today get her.god whats going come this.
