Need help getting new peahen to eat inside coop. She has always just been in outside pen area. I’m trying to get her inside to eat out of the elements. Other peacocks go inside to eat, it’s been two days now that I have just fed inside and no luck , I fact she seems to be influence the others not to go inside. If I feed outside rain fills feeder up. Any ideas

Do you have any sheltered area in the run to protect the feeder ? I never feed my flock inside the coop to avoid mice, and predators. I keep the feeder and water in the run. It is roofed so it stays dry......

I do not at this point, as soon as the weather gets better that will be my next project. The run is too big for tarp until then.

OIC......in the meantime, you might want to close your peacock in the coop until she learns to eat in there....
Good luck!

Good news !
Peacocks eat that ... too!
A food that is not afraid of rain ... and is not expensive!
