It takes 28 days for a peafowl egg to hatch. They are treated a lot like turkeys, they need higher protien than chickens and they need to be taught to eat/drink. When they hatch out and dry off and start looking for something to eat I take chicken starter or turkey starter and dye it green with a little water till it's mushy. Peacocks are attracted to colors, and green seems to be a favorite. It will also help you tell if they are eating and pooping cause you'll see the bright green. I put marbles in a shallow waterer or bowl for them to drink. the shiny marbles attract them to the water. You might have to peck at the food with your finger to get them started, or put a baby chick in with them. As they get older, 6 months or so, you can give them turkey grower.
You can keep them on that if you like. They also enjoy bird seed, cat/dog food, fruits and nuts, berries etc. If they are around chickens you may want to worm them more often. As adults they can be bossy to chickens, but will get along with them. They like to roost up high, very high and if you do not give them such, they will find it else where. I keep mine cooped at night and let them free range during the day. They are pretty smart and easily get bored if they have nothing to do, so keep them entertained with bits of food or places to free range.
Mine follow me around like dogs and chase off any cat that is not supposed to be here. They like snakes and fire ants too.

Peafowl eggs take 28 days, sometime up to 30 days.
Yes the peachicks need to be taught how to eat. I use hard boil eggs yolks only, over a 24 % Gamebird or turkey medicated starter. Also use a water with a red base. Suger water the first day.

All my peachicks are raised on wire untill they are 3 months old.
