One of my 2011 peacocks is limping. We have been watching him but today it seems worse. I do not see any sign of a cut or injury of that kind. Is this something that can be "fixed"? Should it be wrapped or maybe some kind of medicine - if so - what is best to give him?

Sometimes they just get a little limp that will go away. First you did the right thing checking him for obvious injury. Check the joints for swelling too. Couple quick questions: Does he still Roost at night and is that foot on the roost or held next to the body. If it is on the roost with the foot resting on the roost, however gently, it is a decent sign. Do you have another male in the pen also? They could have sparred a little and he may be temporarily resting a sore foot. Keep an eye on him to monitor it over the next couple days. No wrap, no meds unless you find the root cause. Have dealt with limping peafowl that had no obvious injury and they have resolved themselves.

This has happened to me as well. My peacock was limping so I checked him over and there was just something stuck to the bottom of his foot, it was either a clump of dirt or poop that had dried.

Hope he stops limping.
