Peacock losing neck feathers

Researching reasons why my peacock could be losing neck feathers and found this site. A similar question was asked in 2014 so I had to register to find the answers. In case I don't get back to that long ago, let me ask if anyone else has an answer to my question.

There are normally two different causes of neck feather loss. One is self picking that Greens and Spauldings will do, they will pick out their own feathers and other birds mostly on the neck and back. I have also seen neck feathers get ruffed up and barred from reaching through fencing and netting. I would also not rule out lice or gnats but pics of your bird would help.

having the same problem with my pied he was scratching and now I noticed others scratching I think its mites so I will treat for this
