She is actually a Black Shouldered Peahen.... I am honestly curious because I am new to raising peacocks, What would be the reason for some needing vs. not needing a tarp with the india blue, and green?

Oh alright, Great. Thank you very much for the help. I have named our peahen Betty White, But she is comical, and makes the coolest noises. Really wants to make me get more.

We have just under 3 acres on a busy paved road and my pair roam freely. They have not gone close to the road ever to my knowledge. We are quite a ways away from any other homes and are surrounded on 3 sides by fields. They stay in the back for the most part. I think they wonder in the corn fields sometimes, also.
I often wonder about penning them because I would be just crushed if either of my peas disappeared or I lost one. But at this point, all is good. They roost in the trees or in the pole barn at night.
They have not hit sexual maturity. Male doesn't have his train yet. Does anyone if that could make a difference in their roaming?
I think they are fed so well at my house, they have no reason to run.
