Whose peacock might you ask? MINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was doing my daily chores with the animals yesterday evening and I guess I took too long to get my boy "Prince" and put him in his coop. So, he decides to put himself up and fly on the ROOF OF MY HOUSE at 9:00 PM !!!!!!!!!!!
When I finally finished feeding and watering all of the animals (it takes about 2 hours), I go to get Prince, my white peacock, and he is no where to be found. Now mind you, this boy is tame (well at least I thought), so I knew he hadn't run off. So, I hear a noise and I look up on the roof and lo' and behold he is roosting on the roof of the house!
So, as funny as it may sound, I asked him nicely to come down from off of the roof. Do you think he listened? NO !!!!!!!!!!! So, I begged and pleaded with him and he still didn't come down. So at this time, the mutant Louisiana tiger stripe mosquitoes are tearing me up. So after about 30 trying to get him down, I decided to get out the big guns (the extended ladder). So I placed the ladder against the roof and climbed up and literally crawled over to where he was. As he watched and laughed at me crawling on the roof, I was steaming with frustration.
So, I get close to him and he calmly lets me pick him up and we scoot down from the roof, get on the ladder and step safely on the ground.

Now if this was a test that he was giving me to see if I would actually climb on the roof to get him, then I passed the test because I got him.
Moral of this story is................. Put up your pea on time or else.
