Peacock question

i build tractor style coops. Some one has asked to build them a pen for Peacocks I am lost here. Are peacocks like chickens ? do they need to into a hen house and roost at night? Or can I build a box add a roost and they will be fine? I am at a loss how to build a pen for peacocks. Do they need nesting boxes etc. Any info will help... thanks

I would post this on the peacock thread. I was considering peacocks at one time...they need a much larger shelter obviously. But they will use a roost (based on what I read). Post over there and I'll bet you get some feedback.

I've put boxes in our peacock pen and they hardly ever use them. Most of the time the eggs are just laying on the ground.

You'd really have to ask the peacock owner what they *want*, wouldn't you? I mean, everybody has different ideas about what is acceptable living conditions. And, I mean, you would not want to build something and THEN discover the buyer doesn't consider it adequate, or considers it excessive
