Hello I live in Tennessee and have just pulled a baby peacock yesterday. I've noticed it's not eating the starter yet. Any suggestion's would be helpful!
I've just hatched 43 chickens and they eat right away. Not sure why my little one isn't eating.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! What an adorable pea chick you have there. I'm afraid I a have no experience of peafowl but if this was a chicken chick I would be tapping my finger in the crumb so it makes a noise as if the pea hen was showing it where the food is. Have you dipped its beak in the water also so it knows where it is? How long is it since it hatched? It may just not be ready yet for something to eat if it's still living off its yolk reserves it it absorbed prior to hatch. Also your crumb looks a little large, you could blend it up a little more for it. They find finer crumb easier to eat. Some bags of crumb I've purchased before have been too big and I've had to blend it up some to get them to eat. Pease do drop by the pea section. The forum for further help on this. Good luck with your pea chick, I hope it's eating you out of house and home soon.

Enjoy BYC :frow
