Hey!!! So I've done chickens, parkeets, emus, everything, but I've never had a peacock. Are they good pets and how do you care for them. How much do they cost and how much is their food? I would really like DETAILED answers, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never had Peas, but one of my neighbors breeds them. While they are beautiful, they are also loud. He always knows when he has visitors. I have no idea how much he sells his for, but I've seen ads for them on Craigslist and such, and they aren't cheep. Especially if you're wanting less common colors. They eat a high protein gamebird feed. He completely free ranges the males and pens his females up (having predator problems). Anyway, there are gobs of super helpful threads in the Peacock section, and lots of knowledgeable breeders there with good info, and lots of wonderful pictures. Good luck
