Kathy .. How do you tell if is E. coli AND blackhead. Do you think they go together ? George
Very often they do go together. I think both of mine that were necropsied at UCD did, as did that one from LSU, and I think a couple of other people have had similar reports. So when I see on as sick as that one looks, I treat for E. coli and blackhead straight away, but if they don't look as sick, they get just the metronidazole for 2-3 days, and if they don't look better by day 3, they are started on Baytril.
