my peafowl are hatching m i am so nervous , 9 eggs shipped in , day 28 99.6 F 60% humidity , one of them was out the shell before i locked down , had its little leg caught , i think i freed it ok. pretty much dried out m under the red light , dipped beak , it sipped , not jumping around but only out the shell a day or 2 , another one hatched ,, 7 eggs no pip . no unpleasant odor . there is a 6 week golden pheasant in the room with them sure is looking around hearing the peeping , i will try to keep you posted

Have the others internally pipped? What does the air cell look like? I usually don’t “lock down” until I see a good portion of the chicks head moving around in the air cell. This year all my chicks hatched at day 26/27. Keep us posted 😊

Pea eggs are one of the most difficult eggs to hatch, and being shipped makes it even harder. Shipping will lower the number of eggs that will develop because of the rough handling and vibration they endure in transit. To be successful you are going to need to know how to observe the internal development of the eggs.
