My mom and I have kept peafowl for maybe 20 years and chickens for longer. The chickens have a coop, and the peas are free range, probably because our first was a 3-4 year old IB male that showed up on our back porch in early winter if I remember correctly. I just remember looking out back and there was male pea with train in front of a blanket of fresh snow. I blinked at him and went to find someone else to look, to make sure I wasn't dreaming. We gave him some cat food and he stuck around.

Assorted, right now some RIRs, some white hens that a school class hatched out, a couple old banty hens and an old friendly white cochin rooster.

If you would like the breeds of your white hens and banty hens, just post pictures of them under Chicken Breeds--What Breed or Gender is This? Good luck with your flock.

Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! The learning center as well as the forum should answer your questions! There is always something new to learn! Glad to have you here! See you around with the flock.
