Peafowl matting- some questions...

So uh, I am just going to re-state my questions from the first post....
Alright so I should expect her to lay maybe late next week? Okay and also Pied x India blue= Peachicks looking like India blues but carying the pied gene right? Or do they carry the white gene? So wouldn't they have those white flights (that would be so pretty)? Just wondering not trying to say I will get lucky and have chicks this year...

Anyone?

Breeding pied to blues the chicks that has whites flight are split white and pied the one that don't will be split pied only.

Okay thanks guys, so if it is only split to pied you can't really tell because it won't show the white flights? Oh boy that is too bad I like it when you can see the effects of the split not just have to know it is split. So is that a 50% chance that the chicks would be just split to pied?
Now I will be counting down those days until eggs!

All the chicks from this breeding will be split to pied. When breeding the offspring back together some of these chicks want carry the pied or white gene.

Thanks!
It just so happens my pied peacock likes my pied hen the least out of the three peahens. He barely displays for her and hasn't tried chasing her yet.

One thing I did was cut a bunch of small branches off our trees and I piled them in the coner of our tempory pen for them. I doubt that they will lay because I caught them as wild birds but just in case...

We are going to improve our cover for ours to nest too. Some places need more hay and more cover so we need to add some leafy branches and things too.
