peafowl with chickens and ducks

Hi, I was wanting to know what everyone's opinion was on keeping a peacock and peahen with some chickens and two ducks. the chickens are all full grown, the ducks are this years hatching, and the peafowl we just got them and they are both about 3 years old. the ducks are still inside the house. the peafowl is at a friends house until my husband gets home to either build a new a pen for them or add on to our chicken pen and house.

Welcome to BYC! A couple of mine live with a chicken or two and are fine with them, but some of mine will try to kill them, so I think it depends on the pea. Before you bring them home, research hisomoniaisis (blackhead) and capillary worms and have a plan just in case your peas become ill. Read this:

I keep all of my poultry together. I thought I had a turkey with blackhead last year. Talk about nerve wracking! It wasn't but still, freaked me out.

Stan stays with chickens and ducks but he is a jerk for a couple of months during breeding season and everyone steers clear.
