My half grown pea fowl were shy when I first got them. I noticed they were down eating and drinking when I locked up the barn just before dusk. Other than that I would not see them near feeder or waterer..
Mine were free range at prior owners farm but also ate with the chickens so they knew what the feed was.
Are you feeding them what previous owner fed them?
Keep in mind they will be afraid to go outside until they feel secure with their surroundings.
I found mine also love fresh grass clippings and dog food! good luck!

i dont know what they were getting feed before but today when i went out the hen was on the ground eating bur the peacock was up on the roost so they may get down and eat while we are not there
