Peahen broken eggs

Hey peocock lovers

I had new peahen and she is laying now but only on the ground not in nest! i made her alots nest but she is laying only on the floor and the first time she ly i found that the eggs is broken the sesond time also a broken eggs until today i did nothhing and keep waatching live cam and we safed the 3 eggs.

do you know why she broken eggs ? i see in the can a young peocok wlak on and the eggs getting broke and after all are eating from it.

is it a sign that the peahen is a young one or why?

i plan now to give it to chicken to inctutabe them

i hope that i do it right

something i would like to say that peahen is not always laying at the sunset

This year was the first time i had a peahen laying. I had 2 girls, one always laid in a nest and the other (newer to laying) always had broken eggs never in a nest. Eventually i just stayed out there to see why, and i ended up catching an egg right out of the butt.
Seems like my girl constantly tried to find a high place to lay her egg, and so it fell and broke every time. I took down the roost, and she just found another high spot to go. Eventually i blocked everything off and she had to stay on the ground to lay eggs. I was able to hatch a few then.
