Peahen candling

Hello Peafowl peeps, I have some new peahen eggs and would like to know if their growth rate when candling is different from chickens? Thanks Genean ( new to peafowl)

Chickens are 21 days and Peafowl are 28 so the growth rate would be slower than chickens.

Until you get used to candling peaeggs you probably won't be able to know for certain they are developing until day 10.

I candle mine at 5-7 days with a powerful flashlight.
