I've had my peafowl for almost 2 months now and they have been doing well living with one of my chicken flocks and have plenty of space. Its strange though that most of the chickens are below them in the pecking order, but there is 5 hens they are scared of. 2 RIRs and 3 Marans to be exact so I'm not sure why they are scared of certain breeds. They are about 2 years old and not fully mature yet, but I have found that the male is honestly pretty chill, but the female is a bit more aggressive. She's fine for the most part with all the adult chickens they live with, but in the coop right next to them I have some 2 month old chicks (around 15) and the peahen is always trying to peck at them through the fence and makes weird noises at them. Is it just because they are small or is my peahen just weird?

My peahen does the exact same making noises through the fence at them and trys too peck them. I think she feels they are intruding her territory.

They have been with chickens their entire lives at their old home, plus I've had them almost 3 months now and they do fine.
only a matter of time. I had them together for years it was fine until it wasn't and that ends up being everyone's story sooner or later unless you take extreme precautions not taken by your average chicken owner.

Do you only have green peafowl or blues too? Also they won't stay together forever the peafowl will get their own coop in a few months or so
