Peahen limping and not eating.

Peahen laid 4 eggs in the last 6 days. Now she's favoring her right foot like it's broken. Not eating or drinking. Not real friendly birds but I do cater to her but no avail. She's 3.

Sometimes they just are stupid and land on a foot wrong. Check to make sure there is not an infection or that anything is lodged in it.

Especially in young birds they just love to roughhouse and play. I have a pen of yearling Spauldings that seems like there is always one that is limping around. Most get better but sometimes they will get a toe or foot caught in something and pull a ligament that does not heal.
