We just brought a peahen and chick home last Sunday, and just as everyone says to do, we plan to keep her penned for a few weeks before we let her free roam. I have noticed that She paces frantically along the fence line several times a day, and still seems stressed out. Do I need to worry about her? Thank you!

I know my Peachicks pace frantically in their pen whenever they see me (because they want out)
I think she is doing it because she wants out, I wouldn't give in Just yet. You have other peafowl right? she Could be lonely?

Yes I have 2 peacocks that are not in the pen, they are free roaming. Maybe she sees them and wants to get out with them? She is in the pen with her chick and the chick seems right at home(probably doesn’t know any different) but the hen is used to being free range and probably not used to being cooped up. I feel bad for her but I know I need to leave her In there a few more weeks!

Thank you!!
