Peahen passed away yesterday and she had 3 eggs

Am I too late to try and hatch the eggs? I have them in a box with shredded paper and a towel on top then a heating pad.

What day of incubation was she in? Can you candle them and see if they are still alive?

how do I candle them, I don't know how long she had set on them. Sorry I don't know for sure.
