Peahen sneezing

Hi, my peahen has recently started sneezing, I have a peacock that could have mycroplasma he has had bubbles around his eyes but they have suddenly stopped, I'm doubtful that it is mycroplasma because I thought it was extremely contagious and none of the others have shown symptoms. There is just the one peahen constantly sneezing and I'm getting worried.

Mycoplasma is beyond my knowledge, but if you suspect it's that, I would post this in the emergency forum. You'd possibly get some help, as treating all poultry for stuff like that is about the same thing.

The usual things related to sneezing are to check around and see if it could be allergic to something environmental where it lives or areas it has access to, such as bedding, weeds in the area, etc. For example, a few of my younger chicks were sneezing the other day. The farmer bordering us was cutting his hayfield. Even though it's just one of a few, one still could be allergic to things the others aren't.

In case it's the start or sign of a respiratory infection, I would have it on vitamin water, much like when we get a cold; most of us take vitamins. It may need antibiotics if this is persistent. Last year I gave amoxicillin to one of my silkie hens who started sneezing then had raspy breathing. Dosage is 57mg per lb of bird, so gave her 125 mg twice a day for 7 days and she was over it in 4.

Is there any mucus in the mouth and throat? Do you see any cream colored lesions around the throat? If so I would send a swab to the state lab for testing.
