My peahens 3 1/3 month old, got sick took them to a vet. they were wormed, on meds, 1 did not make it ( the 1 we thought would live) the smaller 1 is alive, no sign of her nasal congestion, will drink a little and just peck around not enough too keep her a live. she has been just about everything i can think of to make her want to eat, I have 5 other 2 to 3 years old that she is with they are loving all the goodies. I have been tube feeding her late afternoon and early evening to try to keep her alive, not sure how much I should feed her, have been giving vitamins/electrolytes/probiotics in the water i mix her food with. she had dark green poop at first but now it is tan to brownish like the food i'm giving her. I need to buy a scale tomorrow to weigh her, to see if she has gained or lost. Should i give her baking soda water for her crop will that help since they did get empty for a day or 2, they both were eating well than they seemed better day 7 or 8 and eating stopped, Day 9 AM, i figured out what to tube feed them with, came back from the pet store and the the bigger 1 died. Have been tube feeding for 7 days, each time i try to fill her crop up lightly started out with 1 1/2 oz 2 times a day, now 2 1/2 to 3 oz with a little extra water (mixture mentioned above) 2 times a day. her wings do not hang down below there natural placement anymore, she goes inside at night to keep her warm and to rest, our weather is pretty mild but changes by the hour, Monday it was 74/84 out today it was 44/54, so she stayed in today, They eat chicken layer pellets 18%, Rich Game Super rooster mixture, dog meal 25% protein, veggies, fruit, meal worms, grass. Any ideas would help I would be very grateful, I am not sure if i am feeding her enough ? i worry about her crop souring, I am not sure if her crop is working properly? maybe it needs to have its pH balance replenished with baking soda water if that would work I don't know it does or my chickens, but hers does not have any mushiness to it. Please and Thank You for reading my long winded words just can't seem to get her back. She is so sweet and calm and puts up with all that i do to her to try to save her and my other peafowl all love her and it seems like they try to encourage her to eat.
