Peanut allergies

I was thinking today about how I often feed the leftover parts of peanut butter sandwiches my kids eat to our chickens. I have a peanut allergy and wonder if I might have issues with our eggs... or maybe someone who is much more allergic than me might have issues with eggs fed kitchen scraps that include peanuts.

My guess is that the chicken would break down that protein after consuming it. The ONLY thing he has warned us against is taking them to a Chinese restaurant.
