Hi Everybody! I'm new here, and thanks for welcoming me!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens and ducks for 3 years, since March of 2020
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 5 hens and 1 rooster
We also have 8 ducks, 7 females and 1 drake
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 blue Laced Wyandotte, 1 Plymouth Barred Rock, 1 Black Australorp,
1 White Orpington, 1 Americana, and the rooster looks like a barnyard mix!
Our ducks started with 1 Blue Swedish, 1 Buff, 1 Fawn and White Indian Runner,
and 1 Black Indian Runner, our male. The rest of the ducks have bred, so we have several mixes!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love hatching eggs, and I think that the chickens can be so funny!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I make handmade soap, and I love to hatch eggs.
