They´ll ´probably get used to each other, in that he´ll tolerate the cats a little better, but still keep them at a distance. I have a cat that lives down with the geese, and she runs the gauntlet as she comes through them. Goslings would be more vulnerable, but the parents keep cats at bay generally. My cats have leaned to steer well away from geese with goslings.Oh thank you I didn't really think about Pear going off instinct. I thought that since cats got used to my cockatiel and my old ducks then the goose would get used to them.
Oh my golden retriever is evil and I don't trust him at all I would NEVER leave those two alone.
As I said before, that´s a good start with the dogs..keeping them separate, as dogs have a very strong drive and really can´t be trusted. Goldens are a retrieving breed, but I know of so many goldens that are hunters......
Besides this, dogs have their language, and geese don´t understand it, so a dog trying to protect its bone, for example, will warn the goose, but the goose could keep trying to 'warn' the dog, not understanding...who wins??????
