Pearl Guineas are hatching :) with photos!

I prefer to run one color of guinea/turkey/quail etc. Most everything I breed is a standard color. I do not like a bunch of mixed mutty colors. My preference in guineas is my jumbo pearls. Other colors are nice but just not my cup of tea.

I had fun hatching out guineas for the first time this past week for someone else. I set 12 in the one old Lyons from you, 4 were clear but the other 8 hatched on day 27 like popcorn! I wish I had room for guineas I'd have some running around here for sure.

Congrats Missy. I have 9 keets in the brooder as I type. A silkie found some Guinea eggs in the big bucket and hatched em out. She still has a few eggs under her, but I think we are done.

MORE GUINEAS !!!

Here is a pic of the little ones.

I think alot of people have mixed pens/flock and when other people buy wanting to breed true they sort the colors I am going to get eggs from somebody tommarow who started with all pearls and now has purples, lavenders, whites, and pearls after 3 years of breeding.

I hatched my first batch of guineas 2 weeks ago. They hatched on mother's day.
I also had 3 pearls hatch out and the rest were royal purples. I just set another 3 dozen from the same lady. We will see what we get.
I agree Miss Prissy, I do like to have one color. The lavender are so cute, that I may go with that one. We shall see, this is my first experience with guineas.

Out of all the colors I like the WHITE the best, then the LAVENDER.

The ROYAL BLUES are nice, but the PEARLS are actually prettier.

I LOVE my Guinea Fowl. Today I found a few more whites and a couple of Lavenders. I will have 15 Guinea babies all together.

Plenty of room and Plenty of tolerance on this farm.
